In 2003, Bubba Kaiser and Joe Palermo built the first Bad Boy Buggy and changed the outdoor industry forever. The two men invented the dual-motor, fully electric 4x4 vehicle, a machine that combined unparalleled off-road ability with quiet, emissions-free operation – the ideal hunting vehicle.
Whether you need the agile 2WD Instinct, the unrelenting fully electric 4WD power of the Recoil, the 4WD performance and smooth ride of the Recoil iS, or the ability to switch from gas to electric power on the fly with the groundbreaking Ambush 4x4 hybrid, Bad Boy Buggies has the right vehicle for dominating the trail ahead, with range, power and performance unmatched by the competition.
In 2010 Textron which also manufactures E-Z-GO golf cars and Cushman utility vehicles acquired Bad Boy Buggies. Textron went on to acquire Arctic Cat and put Arctic Cat UTVs and Bad Boy Buggies under the new Textron Off Road brand along with vehicles like the Stampede and Havoc which they developed in-house. Over time management pared down the Bad Boy Buggies lineup and changed the brand name to Bad Boy Off Road. More recently they switched back to the Arctic Cat brand name and eliminated a number of models including all electric powered UTVs including those formerly under the Bad Boy brands.
